Building An Art Community In Your Church is a four part course designed to help you develop a thriving ministry that engages artists and creatives.

It would never occur to most artists that they could use their gifting to serve within the church. These are two distinct circles, with very little to no overlap.

An active art community within the church can effectively share the gospel and grow itself. Maximize involvement, potential, and venue by building a thriving art community within your church.

Module Goal: To understand how and why a thriving art community is important, identify an area that can be dedicated to a gallery, develop the necessary systems to hang, secure and light the work.

Create ministry opportunities where artists’ and creatives’ uniquely shaped giftings fit.

Module 2: Speak Life

Many artists/creatives have never seen an opportunity to use their talents to actively participate in the church environment, so they have kept their efforts at home or joined arts societies available in the community. Module 4: Structure

This community can and will be a vibrant new aspect of creativity and life in your church. A powerful component in its success is a consistent framework that gives structure to the creative community without stifling it. Planning ahead will give the Curator(s) time to create and/or delegate inspirational pieces that can quite literally change the way we see the Gospel.

This module will help the Curator work with Pastor/team to incorporate arts ministry into series concept, scheduling of CFA’s and cross promotion for art, series, and gallery events.
